Project Manager Job Description
Top Notch Landscapes – Caddo Mills, Texas

Top Notch Landscapes is seeking a team oriented and proactive individual To install custom landscapes in an efficient manner to make the company profitable.

Job Summary:

This is a full time, salaried position reporting directly to the owner. We can present designs and proposals until we are blue in the face, but if we cannot get them installed in an efficient manner with great end results we are nothing. You will lead our members in the field and make sure our clients are happy. This will ensure great references in the future and will set us apart from other landscape companies in the East Dallas area.

Salary $55,000-75,000+

Primary Responsibilities:

• Acquire all materials, subcontractors and equipment needed to install a landscape job.
• Manage and sometimes train crewmembers on the installation process.
• Attend a pre-walkthrough meeting with the client present to review the job at hand to make sure all that are involved are on the same page.
• Contact the client on a daily basis to let them know where we are at in the project and what the next step will be.
• Perform a final walkthrough on the project and take care of any expressed concerns.
• Collect all payment installments throughout the course of the project.
• Track man-hours of your crewmembers and production rates for the various installation items.
• Track all paperwork associated with your installation job and file in the appropriate place.

Irrigation Technician Job Description
Top Notch Landscapes is seeking a team-oriented and proactive Irrigation Technician to join our team.


This is a full-time hourly position reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems. We need skilled, motivated professionals who are familiar with grounds maintenance and installations. Experience in irrigation maintenance and mechanical aptitude required. Customer interaction and basic computer skills needed to handle jobs from start to finish. Compensation depending on verifiable experience and qualifications. Salary $20 – $28 per hour
Job Type – Full-time

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly irrigation inspections, troubling shooting and repairs.
• Ability to install, program and adjust several different types of controllers including high-tech smart controllers based on seasonal requirements.
• Working knowledge and troubleshooting abilities of 2 wire systems.
• Ability to perform valve replacements, lateral and main line repairs.
• Add on to existing systems
• Install drip and micro irrigation and enhancements

Job Description:

Top Notch Landscapes is looking for a positive, energetic, team player that is detail oriented, has a strong work ethic, and takes ownership of their work and the work of the crew. The role of the Landscape Install Foreman is the successful supervision, management, and completion of projects in the field through active hands-on management and training of the landscape install team members.

Salary $18-25 per hour

General Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Effectively lead, direct, and supervise the work of others.
• Safely drive company trucks, trailers, and operate a variety of landscape equipment.
• Provide quality customer service on every property daily.
• Inspect all completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
• Coach, train, lead and encourage team members daily.
• Communicate project steps and updates accordingly to Project Manager.
• Manage the execution of construction projects, planning labor requirements, equipment requirements and material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines whenever the foreman is not on site
• Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project
• Delegate job tasks to appropriate crew members to assist in the completion of landscape constructions
• Operate various tools and equipment, including: heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
• Assist in the construction of walkways, patios, retaining walls, garden beds, rain gardens, planting, sod etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to delegate/complete work activities
• Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards
• Proactively support, coordinate, and communicate with the Foreman and Operations Manager to ensure successful and professionally complete landscape projects


• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Knowledge of irrigation clock management, general irrigation operation, and installation.
• Capable of working outside in a physically demanding job.

Top Notch Landscapes is currently searching for motivated individuals that are interested in becoming a part of our team for the 2022 landscaping season and beyond.


You will be required to follow our systems of installation for various items that we install. You will need to be able to follow your project manager and foreman’s lead and instructions to assure a quality landscape installation that the client is thrilled with. You will need to take pride in your work, we always say, “install this as if you were installing at your mom’s house”.

Salary $14 – $18 per hour
