Drainage Systems
If there is one thing in common with all of our projects, it is drainage. After that, it would be grading. When you think about it, this is the basis of landscaping or the sculpting of the land. It is imperative that a proper drainage and grading analysis is conducted to ensure that water is going to flow through the property correctly. While almost every one of our projects includes drainage and grading, here is one of many that was solely a drainage project aimed at solving a serious water issue that was killing the grass in his lawn and plants in his flowerbed.

The Process
Considering a drainage system is gravity fed, in most cases. It is necessary to take precise measurements of the slope of the property to determine how to install the system. Without getting to much into it, a properly installed drainage system will collect water at one point and discharge it downhill at a minimum of 2% slope. If the minimum slope is not available then, a sump pump will be needed to discharge the water.
First, we will establish a rough estimate based on our initial evaluation of the property. Then, we will take a percentage of that estimate and establish a design fee. The design fee covers the precise measurements to determine exactly how the system will be installed. Based on the design, we will calculate the material and labor costs and present a formal proposal and contract. Once the formal proposal is approved and contract is signed, we will schedule the job.
5 Star Review
"Alex and team helped me with a drainage problem in our front yard. We had standing water in our beds, sidewalk and lawn. It was killing the plants and low spots in lawn during the spring and fall. A couple days work and and they measured depths and ran that from 3 places down to the drainage ditch. We had our first really big rain this season and everything drains perfectly. No standing puddles and sidewalk is clear. Thanks Alex and team!!!"
